  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

    Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) involves efforts to change negative thinking patterns. These strategies might include learning to recognize one's distortions in thinking that are creating problems, and then to reevaluate them in light of reality. Gaining a better understanding of the behavior and motivation of others.

  • Psychodynamic Therapy

    Psychodynamic therapy is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on the unconscious mind and how it influences thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is based on the theories of Sigmund Freud and other psychoanalytic thinkers. The goal is to really understand our feelings and allow space to process them. Psychodynamic therapy also explores early childhood experiences, bringing unconscious thoughts into the conscious mind working to become more aware of these patterns and how they show up in other areas of our life.

  • Strengths Based Approach

    Strengths-based approach therapy is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on identifying and utilizing a person's existing strengths, positive qualities, and resilience to improve their well-being and address challenges, rather than solely focusing on their problems or deficits. It emphasizes what someone does well to empower them to overcome difficulties.

  • Motivational Interviewing

    Motivational Interviewing  is a client-centered, evidence-based counseling approach that aims to help individuals build motivation and make positive changes in their lives. It is particularly effective for individuals who are ambivalent or resistant to change.

  • Mindfulness

    Mindfulness is a mental state of present moment awareness, without judgment. It involves paying attention to one's thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and external environment with curiosity and acceptance. Some of the key principles are non-judgement observation around what we are feeling, acceptance, focus on the present moment, and find compassion for yourself.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy

    Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a structured therapy that helps people learn skills to manage difficult emotions and improve relationships. Some of the key techniques are to engage in mindfulness and to understand your  level of distress tolerance then identify goals around emotional regulations and interpersonal effectiveness.
